Twenty GA&M athletes set to compete in Berlin as final teams are announced

Global Athletics & Marketing, Inc., manages more than 70 professional track and field athletes from ten different countries and four continents, ten of whom have already been selected for the 12th IAAF World Championships in Athletics, to be held August 15-23 in Berlin, Germany.

Among the GA&M athletes already named to compete in Berlin are several champions aiming to defend their world titles. They include Tyson Gay, who stormed to gold medals in the 100m, 200m and the 4x100m Relay in 2007, Meseret Defar, the 2004 Olympic and 2007 World Championship gold medalist at 5000m, and Tirunesh Dibaba, who won her fourth world title on the track in 2007 before becoming the first woman to win the 5000m and 10000m at the Olympics one year later.

Other Beijing medalists looking to top the podium in Berlin include Jenn Stuczynski, the 2008 Olympic silver medalist and American record holder in the pole vault, and Bershawn Jackson, the 2005 World Champion and last year’s Olympic bronze medalist in the 400m Hurdles.
