Background
Like any good Canadian, Andrew Ellerton grew up wanting to be a hockey player. He was a good one, too, earning all-city honors in the 2001-2002 season. Then he began to have some success running track for Confederation High School, and dreams of the rink were left behind when he won the Canadian junior title at 800 meters in 2002.
Andrew’s career at the University of Michigan started off with an indoor DMR school record in his freshman year and it only got better from there, culminating in an NCAA title. “I would have been disappointed going out any other way,” he said. |
