Jake Wightman, the Scottish record-holder and second-fastest Britton ever at 1500m, capped off his 2021 with an impressive win over a loaded field at the New Balance Fifth Avenue Mile in New York, NY today. Wightman eased to the front and cleared the field in the final 20 meters to win in a time of 3:49.6. This is the second Fifth Avenue Mile title for Wightman, having won previously in 2018.
