In his only race of the 2021 indoor season,
Jake Wightman led a brave effort in the men’s 1500m at the
New Balance Indoor Grand Prix and was rewarded with a new Scottish record. Leading almost the entire second half of the race, Wightman finished second in 3:34.48, taking more than a second off of Josh Kerr’s former Scottish record of 3:35.72 set in 2019.
