In his second IAAF Diamond League 200m of the 2018 season, Noah Lyles produced his second lifetime best of the month. In lane seven, in a loaded field, Lyles ran away with the victory, running 19.69, bettering the previous lifetime best of 19.83 he had run on May 4 in Doha, and equaling the fastest time in the world this year. In second place, Jereem Richards scored his second runner-up finish of the DL season, having taken second behind Lyles in Doha, while Nethaneel MItchell-Blake took fifth in 20.51. In the women's 5000m, Dominique Scott recorded another lifetime best, this time at 5000m, running 15:10.23 with her eighth place finish.
